Ladies night set for this week
The Christmas spirit will come alive this week as numerous local merchants participate in ?Ladies Night Out? Thursday, Dec. 4 and a live nativity scene takes place on the Colorado County Courthouse square.
Trinity Lutheran Church of Frelsburg youth members will present a live nativity scene from 6-7 p.m. across from the Stafford Opera House on the courthouse square Thursday night. This will be the first year for the attraction.
Then before or after visiting the nativity, shoppers can make their way through Columbus as local merchants keep their doors open late for some Christmas shopping, often with door prizes and refreshments for customers. This is an annual event sponsored by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
Area merchants participating in the event include AL&M Do It Best Building Supply, Home Design Studio, Live Oak Art Center, the Turner Chapman Gallery, Over the Rainbow, Stones and Silver, Calico Hens, Dr. Charles R. Gobert, AT&T, Movie Gallery, Curtiss Automotive, The Vintage Shop, The Flower Stop, Quality Electronics, M&E Treasures, A Creative Touch, Silly Stamper, Donna?s Attic, Kathleen?s Florist, Homestyle Home Decor and Gifts, The Party Rental Store, A Trains and Birdies Doll House, Silver Barn and Vacek Anderson.
Maps will be available from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Office, which will also be open.
