Albert G. Hoover, 84, of Columbus, passed away March 9, in Columbus.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1928 to William Ellis and Hettie (Casey) Hoover in Fields Store.
He worked as a process superintendent for Texas Petro Chemical. He married Ann Killing-sworth, May 16, 1980.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus, Gideon, NRA and was a bow hunter.
Albert is survived by his wife, Ann Hoover of Columbus; daughters, Julie MacInnes of Columbus, Joanna Cooke of Columbus, and Ruth Vilven and husband Murray of Houston; son, Curt Hoover and wife Betty Ann of San Antonio; sisters, Lula Blum of Houston, and Amy Woods and husband Lynn of Spring; brother, Charles Hoover and wife Patsy of Conroe; grandchildren, Brendan McAuliffe, Melissa McAuliffe, Sarah Hoover and Leanne Cooke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Hoover, Eura Hoover and Dub Hoover; and sister Naomi Stallones.
Celebration of Life service will take place on Wednesday, March 13, at 12 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Columbus with the Rev. Victor Morrison officiating. Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
