Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Little League International announced their decision to cancel their World Series and Region Tournaments for first time in organization history. After a thorough assessment of the impact the devastating COVID-19 pandemic has had on 6,500 community-based Little League® programs in 84 countries and based upon the direction of governmental and public health authorities, and in consultation with medical professionals and our Board of Directors, Little League International has made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel its seven World Series tournaments and their respective regional qualifying events.

Read moreWorshipers will gather for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10 for parking lot services at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Prairie Valley, West Point at 8:45 a.m.; Faith Lutheran Church, Weimar at 10 a.m.; and Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton at 10:45 a.m. Of course, this is based on weather permitting. Pastors Herb Beyer and John Hunsicker will be leading services with worshipers gathering in the church parking lots. Persons are asked to follow the guidelines provided by the Governor and AG offices, still continuing to follow social distancing and to remain in their vehicles for the entirety of the worship services. Folks will gather to celebrate with Word and Sacrament, prayer and praise.
