Read moreOn Sunday, there was an An awards ceremony for school art chosen for the HLSR Rodeo Art Auction Sunday, Feb. 16. Senior Elena Cantu's pencil drawing, "A Cowboy's Prayer" was selected to be one of the 72 pieces auctioned. The ceremony was a chance for those winners to find out the place and auction order of their work. Cantu's art was awarded Class Champion Monochromatic, and will be auctioned off at lot 6. The auction will be at NRG Sunday, Mar. 15 starting at noon. The artwork will be on display during the rodeo leading up to the auction.

There will be an adult softball tournament Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Eagle Lake Little League field. Registration for volleyball, cheerleading and football will also take place that day.
