Read moreThe Columbus Historical Preservation Trust (CHPT) is hosting a Spring basket online auction from Mar. 30 – Apr. 3 to raise funds for their ongoing Stafford Opera House “Repair and Restore Project”. Money raised from the online auction will allow CHPT to afford much needed building updates, including repairing the elevator, installing new flooring at the second floor entry, and rewiring the backstage lighting.
Read moreThe Columbus Chamber of Commerce hosted a scavenger hunt for the local youngsters on Spring Break last week. The grand prize was a gift certificate to R&R Shaved Ice. The children were asked to take six selfie photos at different locations around town then email to the chamber to get the prize. From left: Thomas Kalinec, Chandler Kalinec, Emma McKimmy, and Cayden Kalinec took one of their selfies at the corner of 109 and Brunes Mill Road, and enjoyed their R&R shaved ice gift certificates after the hunt. They are the grandchildren of Citizen Sales/Marketing Consultant Missy Theriot.
