Read moreColumbus Christian Women’s Organization celebrated its beginnings Thursday Nov. 4, at the group’s monthly luncheon meeting held at Glidden Baptist Church. President Marsha Priesmeyer recalled the history of the group and its philanthropic endeavors since its inception in 1999. As a follow-up to each of its fundraising years, the organization has disbursed funds to selective groups. In keeping with that tradition, CCWO gifted Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley with a $7,500 grant, which was accepted by the Clubs’ Board Chair, Mariette Bellamy. Scott Mattingly, executive director of Habitat for Humanity, also attended and was presented with a $7,500 grant as well. President Marsha Priesmeyer delivered the gifts.
