Members of the Columbus community will gather for a candlelight prayer vigil Thursday, Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Courthouse square. Prayer vigil organizers write, “ As Americans woke on Nov. 4 with the outcome of the Presidential election far from being decided, we call for prayer as the process unfolds over the coming days and weeks. As we wait for our democratic process to fulfill itself people of faith will gather to pray.”

Rios was selected as cadet of the week for demonstrating resilience and perseverance amongst his fellow cadets. He is learning to become self-accountable and excelling in academics. Rios is a West Texas native who enjoys watching and playing football. Before enrolling at TCA, he attended Permian High School in Odessa. Rios decided to volunteer for TCA to accelerate his education and obtain tools to conquer his previous anger issues. He’s overjoyed to be a part of many other cadets to earn their High School diploma at TCA. Following graduation, he would like to enlist in the United States Army and pursue a career in the military.
