Colorado County EMS reports a fantastic visit from Representative Ben Leman June 10. Leman visited with CCEMS to discuss the challenges rural EMS departments face. “Our topics ranged from our daily response, number of COVID responses, funding, EMTs versus Paramedics and life in general,” EMS Director Michael Furrh said. Leman had a chance to see the equipment CCEMS uses, and was said to be “very impressed” with the Special Operations Division. The CCEMS Special Operations Division has highly trained EMTs and Paramedics versed in water rescues and high/low angle rope rescues. ABOVE: CCEMS Director Michael Furrh gives Rep.
