The Lady Cards finished their season on a positive note after their performance in the golf UIL state meet earlier last week. Twelve teams and over 70 lady golfers competed in Austin for a chance at the State Championship. Columbus had three seniors make it to the state meet for the fourth time and got their best overall finish as a team in all those four years. The Lady Cards took 10th place as a team after some strong performances.

Mican will be attending Ranger College to play for the Lady Rangers’ volleyball team. Heger plans to attend Bossier Parish in Louisiana to play softball for the Caveliers.

Freshman Taylor Smith was the lone representative for Weimar, using a strong second day performance to finish with a total score of 179 and in ninth place out of 71 other golfers in the division.
