The Rice varsity softball team had a rough week from the plate as their bats deserted them in their two matchups. The Lady Raiders scored only three total runs over the week compared to their opponents’ 25 combined runs. With the season coming close to an end, the Lady Raiders have only a few more opportunities to finish as high as possible in the district standings.

As the season comes to a close, the Raiders find themselves low in the district standings with only a few more opportunities to climb up and improve their position.

Tamarion is a freshman this year and is a member of the Rice Football, Basketball, and Track team. His favorite class and teacher is English 1 with Mrs. Schendel. Outside of school, Tamarion spends his free time playing basketball. After high school, Tamarion hopes to continue his education and pursue a college degree.

The ladycats were one of the top teams all season, and they proved it again with big wins against some of their district rivals.

The Wildcats were close to coming away with wins in those games as they lost by a combined total of three runs. With only a few games remaining in the season it will be tough for the Wildcats to make a strong run to threaten the top of the district standings.
