The powerlifting season has officially begun in Colorado County as Rice hosted their first meet on Jan.12. Rice, along with fellow county school Columbus, competed in several different weight lifting events. Wallis Brazos, Flatonia and Hallettsville were also represented at the meet, as Rice secured first place as a team, and Columbus placed at the fourth spot.
