In Varsity Baseball, the winners are Straton Pieprzyrca, Sam Peacock, Morgan Machac, Aaron Drlik, Jake Engelbrecht, Robert Stavenoha, and Landon Rodriguez. In Varsity Softball, the winners were Summer Castro, Jacquelyn Ceballos, Alexia Rico, Olivia Shorter, Diamond Flores, Delaney Gray, Brooke Ford, Anabel Gonzales, and Taygon Pieprzyca.

Engelbrecht received his scholarship at a ceremony May 2 at Klein Cain High School. He is pictured with his father, Rice CISD Coach Darrell Engelbrecht and Rice CISD Athletic Director Jared Sloan. Engelbrecht is the son of Darrell and Joy Engelbrecht.
Read moreThe Weimar Wildcats recognized 2020 seniors at the Apr. 20 baseball game against Louise. The Cats improved to 14-4 on the year with a 10-0 win over the Hornets. On the mound for the Cats was senior Trenton Chenard, who had a complete game shutout and allowed one hit. Offensively the Wildcats were led by junior Jagger Fishbeck, who went 4-4 on the night with 6 RBIs, and freshman Wyatt Lacina who had a perfect night at the plate.
