The Lady Raiders lost to the Edna Cowgirls on Sept. 22 while visiting in Edna. The Cowgirls took a win in three sets while holding the Lady Raiders down to zero. In other action, the Lady Raiders played against the Palacios Sharks and won in 3-2 sets.

Read moreOn Saturday, September 26th the Columbus Youth Football Federation (CYFF) Peewee team kicked off their season in Industrial vs Cuero. The Peewee level consists of youth in kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades. The offense was led by quarterback Daedryn Fuller who rushed for 2 touchdowns. Other scores came from a pass from Fuller to Eric Sutton and on a handoff from Fuller to Sutton. At the end of the first half the CYFF Cardinals were up 27-26. The second half was a defensive battle in which the Cards fell short. Cuero was able to break away in the fourth quarter to win the game 27-33. All 3 CYFF teams take the field this Saturday in Cuero.
