The Columbus Cardinal football team traveled for an away non-conference game on Friday Sept.18 to take on the Edna Cowboys. Columbus defeated Edna in blow-out fashion 42-3, extending their season record to 3-1. The Columbus offense hit on all cylinders throughout the night with a team total of 406 yards of total offense. The run game for the Cards, led by sophomore running back No.8 Jordan Woods on Friday night, displayed his quick burst and speed on a 69-yard touchdown run set up by great blocking from the offensive line.
