The track and field teams for both Columbus and Rice sent competitors to participate in the Columbus-hosted area meet. The top four finishers in each event earned their spot to move on to the regional meet in Seguin on April 29. The Cards and the Raiders got strong performances, each having regional qualifiers in several events.
