Nearby law enforcement agent wins award for biggest drug bust

The Sheriff’s office in nearby Fayette County celebrated the recognition of Sgt. Randy Thumann as he received an award at the annual Blue Lightning Operations Center for the largest cocaine bust in 2023. Thumann seized 220 pounds of the proh ibited substance. Pictured is the award.
