The Rice Junior Baseball team competed in the All-Star tournament at BP&W Park in Sealy, TX, this week and finished with a record of 1-2. They lost to Bellville in game one of the tournament but bounced back with a huge 19-18 victory over Grimes County, Rice won in dramatic fashion with a walkoff run scored off a wild pitch. Rice then had another offensive battle with Hempstead but was on the short end of the deal this time dropping the game 17-12. Rice may have suffered two tough losses, but they showed many teams they can and will run the score up during games.
