The Stanzel Family Foundation continues its commitment to fostering community well-being by providing support to the Colorado County Habitat for Humanity. The grant will specifically aid the organization’s critical home repair program in Weimar, addressing the urgent needs of individuals and families in the community.
Colorado County Habitat for Humanity has been a steadfast advocate for eliminating substandard housing locally, focusing on constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. The organization also advocates for fair and just housing policies while providing training and access to resources to help families improve their living conditions. Habitat for Humanity is founded on the belief that every individual deserves a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety.
“In June 2023, we launched our critical repair program with an initial investment of $25,000 from our operating funds. This program is vital in addressing the pressing need for home repairs that we encounter daily,” stated Charmaine Katz, Executive Director at Colorado County Habitat for Humanity.
