Gas prices fluctuate as election season comes to an end

Average gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 2.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.56/g on Nov. 4, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas.

Prices in Texas are 18.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 29.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 1.3 cents in the last week and stands at $3.52 per gallon- the lowest level since 2021.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Texas was priced at $2.01/g Nov. 3 while the most expensive was $3.67/g, a difference of $1.66/g. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.01/g while the highest was $3.67/g, a difference of $1.66/g.
