Early voting to kick off next week

Early voting starts next Tuesday, April 22. Monday, April 21 is a state Holiday (San Jacinto Day) and there is no voting.

The early voting period is short, only six days long. It will take place Tuesday through Friday, April 22 through April 25, April 28 and April 29, no weekends.

Voting hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. so you will have to plan accordingly. All three Early voting locations will be open; the Columbus Election Center, Eagle Lake Community Center and Weimar City Hall.

Election day is on Saturday, May 3. All election day precincts will be open. You will have to vote in your assigned precinct specific location on election day.
