Unofficial election results in

ESD fails to pass, new Place 5 Weimar city councilman elected

The unofficial election results for Colorado County are in after the conclusion of the 2025 general election on Saturday, May 3, with a newcomer appointed to the Weimar city council and Eagle Lake being the only municipality in the county to approve the Emergency Services District (ESD).

Following former Place 5 councilman Roy Ulrich opting to not file for re-election, Ronell Wilson and Stephen Helmcamp went toe to toe for the position on Weimar's city council, with Wilson ultimately beating out Helmcamp 106-99, separated by only seven votes.

Eagle Lake's city council race saw an open contest between incumbents Jim Wood, Rene' Cooper and Chris D. Parker and hopeful candidate Randy Turner, who barely missed out on snatching a city council position away from Parker, with the two separated by only four votes (70-66). Wood received 122 votes and Cooper received 111 votes.
