The Rice Raiders track team had two athletes compete in the UIL State Track Meet this past Thursday and Friday. RJ Myers and Jael Valles-Serrano competed in the shot put and the 800m respectively. Myers came in 3rd place and earned himself a bronze medal with a throw of 57 feet and three quarters of an inch. Valles-Serrano came in 8th place in the 800m race with a time of one minute and 57 seconds, only four seconds behind 1st place.
