St. Anthony School’s 2025 “A Day of Giving” campaign will be held tomorrow (5/85/9). Since the launch of this campaign in 2022, the extraordinary generosity of the SAS extended school community has raised over $64,000, supporting essential improvements throughout the school while also funding unexpected needs. These donations help SAS continue to strategically plan for the future, and continue to provide a high-quality Catholic education grounded in faith, learning and service. To contribute online, donors can visit: www.stanthonycolumbus. net/school-support or checks may be made payable to St. Anthony Catholic School. Thank you for your continued support and love for SAS!
Tomorrow, the SAS 8th graders will spend the day at St. Roch at their end-ofyear retreat. This is a day of reflection and prayer… an opportunity to come together in fellowship one last time in a faith-filled and fun way.
Yesterday’s Career Day at SAS welcomed 7 area participants presenting information about each of their occupations. Students visited with representatives from Columbus Volunteer Fire Dept., CHS FFA, Frontier Rodeo Coffee, Classic Cuts, Columbus Physical Therapy, Rosenberg FD, and American Ag. SAS appreciates these folks for taking time from their busy schedules to come and teach our students about their jobs.
Readers are rewarded at SAS! Saints in grades 1-8 that achieved their Accelerated Reader goals for the year will spend Tuesday, 5/13 at Splashway for a day of sun and fun. This year, over 95% of SAS AR students met or exceeded their goal! Students (and teachers) look forward to this trip each year. We pray for beautiful weather and the safety of all those attending.
Upcoming events: Diocesan tennis meet today in Halletsville, 5/7, Jr. High awards banquet on 5/8, SAS First Communion on 5/11 @10am. SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass on Fridays at 8:15.
