COLUMBUS – The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the graduation of the inaugural class of Leadership Colorado County, celebrated April 29, at Big Easy Ranch.
Leadership Colorado County is a nine-month program designed to cultivate informed, connected, and engaged community leaders. From September through May, participants meet monthly to explore key aspects of life in Colorado County, including government, education, healthcare, business, public safety, agriculture, and community development.
The first graduating class includes Shannon Binder, Jessica Coufal, Peggy Harrison, Amy Maxwell, Mike Meier, LaPorchia Miller, James Wegenhoft, and Mandy Wright. All completed the full program and left with a deeper understanding of the county, a stronger professional network, and tools they can apply at work, in community service, and in their personal lives.
Becky Nutt, Executive Director of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, has worked diligently to bring this program to life during her two years with the Chamber. Her leadership and dedication were instrumental in turning the idea into a successful, impactful experience for local professionals.
The Chamber extends thanks to all community leaders, speakers, and site hosts who made this year a success, and to Big Easy Ranch for providing a beautiful setting for graduation. Also, a big thank-you to Kristina Hill, Columbus Physical, Therapy for speaking at graduation! And shoutout to Kathie Ridlen and Steve McCullough from the Leadership Committee for joining us and handing out certificates!
