The Weimar Wildcats athletic season has ended and with that comes the end of season awards.
There was a maximum of three awards given out across every sport including the MVP, Most Improved and Fighting Heart.
Starting things off though was the Overall Male Fighting heart award which was awarded to Juan Hernandez and the Overall Male Athlete of the Year which was awarded to Huxton Kloesel.
These two played multiple sports and always brought their A-game anytime they put the Weimar uniform on.
In football the MVP award was shared between two players, Juan Hernandez and Jerron Fisher. On both sides of the ball these guys brought their best every single week and were a big reason why the Wildcats were able to make the playoffs this season.
The Most Improved player for the football team for the Wildcats was Camden Morrison. He figured out how to use his size to his advantage and really became a reliable target for quarterback Huxton Kloesel this season.
The Fighting Heart award for the football team was given to Zach Norrell. It’s no secret that Norrell bleeds purple and gold and this award just solidifies it. He shows up every game and puts his uniform on pridefully and represents the Wildcats to the best of his abilities.
In Basketball the MVP of the team was Huxton Kloesel, and it was because he was in the middle of every play made and wore his heart on his sleeve as a leader. Kloesel was never scared to speak up in the huddles during timeouts and get his team a little bit of motivation and he also was not scared to lead by example.
Morrison makes his second appearance at the Awards Ceremony as the Most Improved basketball player this season. He worked diligently on his jump shot as well as his defense inside the paint. He excelled in both of those areas of the game and earned this award.
The Fighting Heart award given out for the basketball team was shared between Norrell and Fisher. These two, much like Kloesel, played with their hearts on their sleeves and were fearless. They never backed down from a challenge and always had a winner’s mentality.
For the baseball team the MVP award was shared between Morrison and Kloesel. These two were outstanding for the Wildcats this season on the baseball diamond. They always had a big hit up their sleeve or a beautiful defensive grab of a ground ball in the infield for an easy out.
The Most Improved award was awarded to Trey Billeck who saw a little bit more playing time than last year. He got to show off all the hard work he has put in to improve as a baseball player thus earning him this award.
The Fighting Heart award was awarded to Logan Kainer for the Wildcats. He always thought the Wildcats were in a game despite what the score showed. He always believed and trusted his teammates this year and the team fed off that energy.

Trey Billeck was chosen as the Most Improved Player on the baseball team for the Wildcats this season.
In golf the MVP for the Wildcats this year was Camden Morrison he was a huge part of the team this year always giving advice to the underclassmen and leading by example. His brother Collin along with Billeck were selected as the Most Improved golfers.
Golf is a fickle sport that has a big learning curve to improve in any sort in this sport is tough to do sometimes. Collin Morrison, however, improved so much that had made it all the way to Regionals as a golfer.
For the tennis team the MVP was Cadyn Booker who had the best season on the team. Booker made it all the way to the State Tournament in tennis thus helping him earn the MVP award.
The Most Improved tennis player was Lance Tolbert; he worked countless hours working on his foot work his technique and his swinging mechanics. The hard work paid off and his coach awarded him for his efforts.
The Fighting Heart award was awarded to Collin Morrison who brought the fierceness of a Wildcat to every tournament.
In cross-country the MVP that was selected was Troy Cantwell; he was chosen because of his leadership. On top of that Cantwell was an unbelievable runner for the Wildcats this season with a couple of top 5 finishes under his belt.
Cadyn Booker was selected as the Most Improved runner for cross-country this season after setting a new personal record a few times this season. The Fighting Heart award was awarded to Gavin Schoeneberg who never gave up no matter how hard things seemed, he wore the Wildcat uniform proudly and always had his teammates back.
In track Zach Norrell was chosen as the MVP and Koda Pantalion was chosen as the Most Improved. Norrell ran a ton for the Wildcats this year and used his blazing speed to earn himself the MVP award for the Wildcats. Pantalion on the other hand put in the work to constantly improve and get better as a runner this season.
In powerlifting Brandon Luckey took home the MVP and even won a couple medals throughout the season to flex his muscles. Victor Hernandez was named as the Most Improved powerlifter and worked his tail off to improve his strength and earn this award.
The Awards Ceremony brings the Athletic season to an official end, congratulations to all the award winners.
