Group claims first place brisket in Gedenke! Festival Cook-Off
WEIMAR — The Weimar High School Class of 2010 gathered during Mother’s Day weekend at the annual Gedenke! Festival Cook-Off to celebrate their 15-year reunion.
Their cook-off team, 20 out of 10 BBQ, was made up of classmates, with friends and family joining in on the fun. The team was proudly sponsored by Kasper’s Meat Market, Bivins Family Insurance, Tri-County Realty, Generations Wealth Advisors and Kari Christen LLC.
WHS Class of 2010 earned a third-place finish in the Gedenke! 5K men’s 30-40 age division, a first place win in the women’s division Encore Lions Club pie competition and, most notably, took home the title of 2025 Brisket Champions, winning amongst an historic number of cook-off teams — with their winning brisket cut from Weimar’s very own, Kasper’s Meat Market.
The 15-year reunion concluded with claimed titles and memories to last a lifetime.
