SATURDAY, MAR 1
At approximately 8:25 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to Colorado County Jail in reference to an assault in the jail. After further investigation, information was received and a warrant for the suspect. Case is active.
SUNDAY, MAR. 2
At approximately 2:07 a.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to IH-10 near Alleyton in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is information only.
At approximately 12:51 p.m., deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 1200 block of County Road 273, Weimar, in reference to a burglary of a building. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 4:23 p.m., deputy Navarro was dispatched to the CCSO Lobby in reference to theft that occurred on the Colorado River near Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
MONDAY, MAR. 3
At approximately 1:09 p.m., deputy Mican was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office Lobby in regards to a Criminal Trespass Warning in the 1000 block of FM 949, Alleyton, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and pending issuance of Trespass Warnings. Case is active.
At approximately 2:38 p.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 5800 block of Cat Spring Road, Eagle Lake, Tx, in reference to the roadway being damaged. After further investigation, information was received and determined the damage would be handled civilly. Case cleared.
At approximately 10:12 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1000 block of Alleyton Road, Columbus, Tx, in reference to a suicidal subject. After further investigation, the subject was transported to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, screened by Texana, and released to family members with a safety plan. Case cleared.
TUESDAY, MAR. 4
At approximately 1:00 p.m., deputy Daniel met with a complainant in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office in reference to identity theft/fraud. After further investigation, advice was given and information was obtained for a report. Case is cleared.
At approximately 1:52 p.m., deputy Moulder was dispatched to speak with a subject via public service in reference to stolen property located at the 1000 block of Lions Park Dr, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and determined the property was not stolen. Case is cleared.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1300 block of Lakeside Drive, Eagle Lake, regarding a welfare concern. Upon investigation, an Emergency Detention Order was issued through Texana, and the subject was transported to Sun Behavioral Health Houston for further evaluation. Case cleared.
At approximately 1:24 p.m., deputy Gorman while patrolling FM 949 near Sunderman Road, Alleyton, observed a partial vehicle in the ditch. After further investigation, information was received and determined the vehicle was reported stolen out of Corrigan Police Department on February, 27, 2025, and recovered from the roadway. Case information only.
At approximately 7:26 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 2300 block of 8th Street, Rock Island, in reference to an assault. Afterfurther investigation, neither party wished to press charges and parties were separated. Case cleared information only.
At approximately 10:21 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to Rice Medical Center in reference to a mental health transport. Upon his arrival he completed the Emergency Detention Order by signing it and transported the patient to the Texana Crisis Center without further incident. Case closed by report.
At approximately 10:44 a.m., deputy Moulder was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office Lobby in reference to criminal trespass. After further investigation, information was received and criminal trespass warnings were issued. Case is cleared.
FRIDAY, MAR. 7
At approximately 8:53 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to IH-10 near Bernardo in reference to a vehicle fire. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
SUNDAY, MAR. 9
At approximately 11:35 a.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 250 in Weimar, Tx, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, the parties involved did not wish to pursue charges and the case was closed by a mental health information report. Case cleared.
At approximately 4:33 p.m., deputy Blaha was dispatched to a public service in reference to credit card fraud that occurred in the 1000 block of CR 182, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, not enough information was received to identify a potential suspect. Case is inactive.
MONDAY, MAR. 10
At approximately 9:24 a.m., deputy Lopez transported an inmate to John Dunn Behavioral Center for competency restoration. The inmate was transported and was placed under a detainer for him to be extradited back to CCSO Jail when treatment was completed.
At approximately 11:42 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a public service in regards to dogs killing her chickens at a residence located at the 1500 block of County Road 200, Weimar, Tx. After further investigation, the owner of the dogs was located and issued a citation. Case cleared.
At approximately 1:24 p.m., deputy Smyers following a disturbance call, was notified by one of the subjects who was wanting to report an assault that occurred on the 4000 block of US-90, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a citation for Assault by Contact - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by issuance of citation.
At approximately 4:36 p.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 6000 block of Hwy 71 S in Altair for a possible stabbing. After further investigation, information was received and determined the victim was uncooperative and did not wish to pursue charges. Case is cleared.
TUESDAY, MAR. 11
At approximately 9:25 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to damaged property in the 1000 block of Cummins Creek Road, New Ulm, Tx. After further investigation, it was determined the parties were going to handle the damage civilly. Case information only.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., deputy Leihardt while patrolling the area of FM 950 and State Hwy 71 South in his marked patrol unit observed an older model Chevrolet truck that did not display a front license plate and initiated a traffic stop. After further investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Jonathan Rodriguez, 29, was arrested for a Wharton County Probation Violation - Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 with intent to deliver. Case cleared by out of county warrant arrest.
WEDNESDAY, MAR 12
At approximately 2:50 p.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 1000 block of Milam Street, Columbus, in reference to a wanted subject. After further investigation, James Robert Decker II, age 44, of Columbus, Tx, was arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
THURSDAY, MAR 13
At approximately 8:00 a.m., deputy Gorman was notified by the Colorado County Jail Captain of prohibited substances being brought into the jail. After further investigation, a warrant was issued on this case, and Javier Torres Jr., age 25, of Flatonia, Tx, was arrested for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility - Felony 3. Case cleared by adult arrest.
