The Weimar Vets traveled to Flatonia for game two against the Wildcats. The Vets came up on the short end of a 7-2 final score. Trevor Brown shut down the Wildcats with three string innings allowing no runs, two walks and two strikeouts. He was relieved by Shane Janecka who threw six pitches to end the inning.
The Wildcats’ bats woke up and they scored their seven runs in the next three innings. Kannyn Goehring finished the game allowing no runs, one walk and striking out two. The Vets scored one run in each of the sixth and ninth inning.
Offensive leaders were Carson Peschel, three singles, walk, run scored; Kyle Peschel, single, two walks; Weston Pavlik, single, RBI; Cole Rasberry Double; Mark Revilla, Double, run scored, walk; Alex Angerstein, walk, stolen base; Trevor Brown single. Defensive standouts were Mark Revilla, Ryan Rerich, Cole Rasberry and Kyle Peschel caught another complete game.
