The Columbus Lady Cardinals were eliminated in the Regional Finals of the playoffs and with that comes All-District honors.

The Lady Cards saw nine of their players get selected for the All-District team and one of them even earned the MVP award.

The winner of the District MVP award by unanimous decision was none other than Lady Cards starting pitcher Mia Post. She was a big part of the Lady Cards defense as she pitched the most innings for the Lady Cards.

She also led the team in every pitching stat and was one of the team’s best hitters throughout the entirety of the season.

As for the 1st All-District team, the Lady Cards saw the likes of Allie Cranek, Aggie Rodriguez, Ellie Brown, Kaylea Foster and Taylor Morrow all selected. These five players always had their names called this season because they were always making plays.

It did not matter if they were on offense, defense, or in the circle. These ladies gave their best effort in every single game. They were team leaders in almost every stat category that is kept in softball, and the leadership and guidance they provided for the team is immeasurable.

The 2nd All-District team saw the likes of Ella Berger and Abigail Wiggs selected. These two were some of the biggest hitters in the district.

Opposing pitchers feared them and even if they tried to game plan around these two hitters, it was to no avail. These ladies were as consistent as they come in the batter’s box and when they took the field on defense, they were just as effective.

Ella Berger was selected to the 2nd All-District team for the 2025 season.

They were among the team leaders in batting average, doubles, triples, homeruns and even RBIs in 2025. Whenever the team needed a big hit to get themselves back in a game, they would look to these two ladies to get it down, and they always did.

Last but certainly not least was the Honorable Mention for the All-District team, and that was Molly Garcia. Now she is listed as an Honorable Mention, but her contributions to the team did not go unnoticed.

She played more of a depth role this season and played it to perfection, no matter what situation the Lady Cards were in, Garcia was willing to do whatever the team needed her to do in order to come away with a win.

Congratulations to all of the Lady Cards selected for All-District honors; they will be looking to come back even stronger next season.
