A new Eagle Lake Police Department officer was sworn into their ranks at the Eagle Lake City Hall last Tuesday morning, May 27.
Mayor Timothy Kelley swore in newly recruited Officer Paul Pattum to the Eagle Lake P.D., with Chief Donald Chaney pinning Officer Pattum’s badge.
Officer Pattum was joined by P.D. family, his family, and Eagle Lake family, with refreshments enjoyed and fellowship afterwards.
Officer Pattum brings a plethora of knowledge and experience, with 20 plus years of service with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he served as Jailor, Deputy, Supervisor, SWAT operator, and School Resource Officer.
Pattum most recently worked at Lamar Consolidated ISD where he served as a School Security Specialist.
The Eagle Lake Police Department is excited to have Officer Pattum at the P.D., and all the positivity and experience he brings to the agency and community.
