The Weimar Ladycats softball team saw several over their players selected to the All-District team and now it is time for the Academic All-District team.
To be on the Academic All-District team one of the requirements is to maintain a 3.5 GPA in their classes.
In order to do that students must have an A or B average in all of their classes and these ladies found a way to achieve that. They put just as much time, energy and effort in the classroom as they do on the field and it paid off.
Weimar’s coaches also emphasize the importance of academics to their players and make sure that all of their athletes are both getting their work done and behaving in the classroom.
The 15 ladies selected were Olivia Noska, Claire Pavlu, Tate Griffin, MJ Griffin, Zowie Lee, Faith Cantwell, Paityn Hudec, Taylor Smith, Zariah Sims, Samantha Rangel, Ty’Rianna Rhodes, Erica Billeck, Brooke Ohnheiser, Katharina Chaloupka and Aubrey Breska.
Being able to navigate all of the schoolwork, extra circular activities, jobs, interest outside of school and the highs and lows of life in general. All while being a high-level athlete speaks to the determination and commitment to being great that these young ladies showed this season.
Congratulations to the Ladycats players that earned Academic All-District honors for the 2025 season.
