The Columbus Aquatic Team hosted a scheduled meet this past Saturday at the Columbus City Pool.

They welcomed in the Fayette Area Swim Team, AKA F.A.S.T., and they competed for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place ribbons.

Although it was a competition every single kid had a blast both swimming and observing other races. The bond the swimmers have with one another was also on full display on Saturday.

Both the CATfish and F.A.S.T. were screaming their heads off to cheer for their teammates during their race. Then once their teammates left the pool, they showered them with compliments and told them how well they did. It was awesome to see that these kids care deeply about one another and want to see their teammates succeed more than anything.

Unfortunately, the fun was short-lived as Mother Nature decided to roll out a storm that cut the meet short.

The CATfish will not let a little bit of rain stop them though as they will be back in action on Saturday, June 21, when they welcome Schulenburg for another meet at the Columbus City Pool.
