On Friday, June 13, Eagle Lake Masonic Lodge #366 conducted a Cornerstone Leveling Ceremony for the new First National Bank in Eagle Lake. The ceremony is over 300 years old and is the same one that Ben Franklin conducted for Independence Hall in Philadelphia and the same ceremony that George Washington conducted on the United States Capitol, both Franklin & Washington were Freemasons.
