Weimar Police are investigating a shooting June 11 that left a juvenile male with a gunshot wound to his side.
According to incident reports, on June 11, Weimar Police officers were dispatched to the Exxon gas station known as “On the Road” at approximately 7 p.m. concerning a possible shooting.
When police arrived on the scene, a juvenile male was in the parking lot clutching his side. The individual was identified as the victim of a single gunshot wound.
Police rendered aid and applied pressure on the wound until CCSO Medic 5 arrived and transported the victim for medical treatment.
The initial investigation revealed that the shooting did not occur at the gas station but that the juvenile had been dropped off at the scene. Police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
This case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
