Sheriff’s Report
SUNDAY, APR. 6
At approximately 10:55 a.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 1200 block of Foote Lane in Nada, Tx, in reference to several subjects trespassing. After further investigation, three male subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings, and April Lee Hanson, age 49, of Wharton, Tx, was arrested for an active warrant from Pardon and Parole for parole violation. Case closed.
At approximately 4:41 p.m., deputy Schoppe was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to found property from an unknown location. After further investigation, the owner of the property was located and the item was mailed back to them. Case cleared.
TUESDAY, APR. 8
At approximately 1:56 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the 1000 block of Yett Road, Eagle Lake, Tx, in reference to an unwanted person on property. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a trespass warning. Case is cleared.
WEDNESDAY, APR. 9
At approximately 10:37 a.m., deputy Schoppe was dispatched to the 1100 block of Dunlavy Road, Cat Spring, in reference to a Fraud. After further investigation, a report was taken for fraudulent use of identifying information. Case information only.
At approximately 12:31 p.m., deputy Schoppe was dispatched to the 1100 block of County Road 213, Weimar, in reference to a Fraud. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 2000 block of Elsie Street in Rock Island in reference to a criminal trespass. After further investigation a criminal trespass warning was filled out and is waiting to be served. Case open.
At approximately 7:25 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the area of Old US 90 and US Hwy 90 in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. After further investigation, Ryan Parks, age 36, of Canyon Lake, Tx, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Pardon and Parole Board of Texas. Case cleared by adult arrest.
THURSDAY, APR. 10
At approximately 9:53 a.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 4800 block of S IH-10, Alleyton, in reference to a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, a stolen vehicle out of Lavaca County was recovered and the owner notified. Case closed.
At approximately 11:26 p.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the 1000 block of Sand Hill Road, Weimar, in reference to a criminal trespass. After further investigation, a criminal trespass warning was issued to a subject. Case cleared.
At approximately 2:10 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a cemetery near Glidden, Tx in regards to harassment. After further investigation, information was received and no offense was reported. Case information only.
FRIDAY, APR. 11
At approximately 5:42 p.m., The Eagle Lake Police Department was dispatched to the 600 block of Donovan Street in Eagle Lake, Tx in reference to a shooting. Deputies with the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene to assist with the investigation. The case is being investigated by the Eagle Lake Police Department.
SATURDAY, APR. 12
At approximately 9:10 a.m., deputy Blair was dispatched to the 1900 block of Oak Ridge Road, Weimar, in reference to a criminal mischief. After further investigation, information was received and determined the parties would handle it civilly. Case is cleared.
SUNDAY, APR. 13
At approximately 7:43 a.m., deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 1000 block of Farm to Market Road 1093, Eagle Lake, in reference to a welfare concern. After further investigation, Saul Rodriguez, age 42, of Lissie, Tx, was arrested for Public Intoxication Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 8:29 p.m., deputy Byars conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on State Highway 71 and Hildebrandt Road, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, Marwill Shuriell Bodden, age 41, of Austin, Tx, was arrested for an out of county warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
MONDAY, APR. 14
At approximately 12:15 p.m., deputy Leihardt was dispatched to a public service in reference to a possible stolen UTV in the 1200 block of CR 222, Weimar, Tx. After further investigation, it was determined the matter would be civil in nature. Case information only.
WEDNESDAY, APR. 16
At approximately 12:16 a.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 3600 block of FM 2434, Glidden, Tx, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Raul Olvera, age 36, of Glidden, Tx, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
THURSDAY, APR. 17
At approximately 4:08 a.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to the area of I-10 East near mile marker 690, Weimar, in reference to a vehicle fire. After further investigation, the fire was extinguished by Weimar Volunteer Fire Department and the vehicle was towed by Delgado’s Wrecker Service. Case cleared.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., deputy Leihardt while off duty learned of a pursuit that was headed Eastbound on US Hwy 90 coming into Schulenburg, Tx. He successfully deployed spike strips at the intersection of US Hwy 90 and FM 2672 and the vehicle came to a stop approximately 1 mile West. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody by the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office. Case closed by agency assist report.
FRIDAY, APR. 18
At approximately 7:14 a.m., deputy Schoppe was dispatched to the 4800 block of US 90, Alleyton, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 1:38 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a public service regarding an assault which occurred in the 3600 block of US 90, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
SATURDAY, APR. 19
At approximately 11:29 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to assist the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office regarding an orange Jeep that was high-centered on a mound near the Navidad River Bridge just west of Sublime. Colorado County Deputies assisted Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office in a Driving While Intoxicated investigation. Case information only.
SUNDAY, APR. 20
At approximately 12:10 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to IH-10 near Bernardo, Tx, in reference to a welfare concern. After further investigation, it was determined the subject was suffering from a medical episode and was transported to the hospital by medics. Case information only.
At approximately 3:14 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 300 block of Canal Street, Garwood, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a juvenile was processed for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle - State Jail Felony. Case cleared.
MONDAY, APR. 21
At approximately 12:45 p.m., deputy Lopez conducted a traffic stop at SH 71 and Blacksmith Road, Altair, for traffic violation. After further investigation, a subject was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared.
At approximately 3:52 p.m., deputy Blair was dispatched to make contact with a complainant in reference to a criminal trespass in the 1500 block of Braden Lane, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and pending issuance of the trespass warning. Case is active.
