Friends of the Weimar Public Library and Agri Life of Colorado County will present a Disaster Preparedness Program at the library on July 11 at 10 a.m.
Planning for disasters can greatly reduce the risks to our families, homes and communities because often catastrophic events are unexpected. We are blessed with many early warning systems and often feel prepared when in actuality we are not.
Being prepared is not a last-minute, haphazard process. Being prepared is being proactive, resulting in reduced loss of life and property and faster recovery and restoration. We do this by doing all that we can to conscientiously consider the areas of food, water, shelter, security, sanitation, and first aid.
This program will present meaningful insights into preparedness. Please put the program on your calendar. An RSVP to the library will help us be prepared for those who attend. Call 979-733-6608 to let us know you plan to attend.
