STAAR results in

It’s that time of the year again; STAAR test results are in. The Texas Education Agency has released the Spring 2025 STAAR test results, with school districts reevaluating what either went wrong or right for the students, while parents and the test takers themselves reflect on their efforts.

Districts across Texas, including those in Austin and Colorado County, are all listed on the report put out by the TEA, which ranges from third grade tests to the high school level.

Brazos ISD, Sealy ISD, Columbus ISD, Rice Consolidated ISD and Weimar ISD tests results all ranged drastically in various grades and different test subjects. Some interesting takeaways from the report for each of these school districts are: 96% of Brazos ISD 8th graders were at “approaches and above” for the mathematics portion 92% of Rice CISD 7th graders were at “did not meet” for the mathematics portion Weimar students grade 3-8 performed exceptionally, with at least 80% of students in each grade being at “approaches and above” for the mathematics portion 79% of Columbus ISD 3rd graders were at “approaches and above” for the reading portion 88% of Weimar ISD 4th graders were at “approaches and above” for the reading portion 62% of Sealy ISD 8th graders were at “approaches and above” for the science portion How did your child fare?
