Weimar Vets come up short against New Ulm

The Weimar Vets hosted the New Ulm Fireman on Sunday, June 29, at Strickland Field. A hard-fought close game resulted in a 3-1 ten inning loss. Offensive leaders were Kyle Pesl- single, double and an RBI, Carson Pesl- three base on balls and a run scored, Mark Revilla- single, base on balls, Alex Angerstein- single, base on balls. Kyle Barish- hit by pitch and base on balls, Cody Pfeffer- base on balls. Defensive standouts Carson Pesl, Angerstein, Revilla and Kyle Pesl caught all 10 innings. A good pitching performance by all, Trevor Brown- four innings, six strikeouts, zero runs, Cody Pfeffer- 5.1 innings, two strikeouts, one earned run, Kyle Barish 0.2 innings, two strikeouts, zero runs. 11 runners left on base and two unearned runs cost the Vets coming out on top.
