NRA Foundation awards grants to Fayette County Sheriff’s Office

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek announced that the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a grant from the NRA Foundation and Friends of NRA in the amount of $2801. The money received from the grant was used to fund the purchase of a shooting star plate target, as well as service ammunition to be used for enhanced firearms training for Sheriff’s Deputies, Reserve Deputies and Corrections Personnel. These targets and ammunition were recently utilized at a Corrections Officer Firearms Course held at the Lazy Q Ranch and Training Facility.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving grants from Friends of the NRA for many years now. “I would again like to thank Friends of the NRA for their continuous support,” Sheriff Korenek commented. We would also like to remind everyone the Tri-County Friends of the NRA Banquet and Fundraiser is going to be held July 25, at the K of C Hall in Schulenburg.
