Sheriff’s Report
MAY 1
At approximately 1:09 p.m., Robert Blair was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an assault that occurred in the 5200 block of Sheridan, Texas, in January 2025. After further investigation, information was received and determined no charges would be filed against one party due to it being mutual combat. Case information only.
At approximately 5:10 p.m., Alexander Chapa was dispatched to the 1400 block of FM 2437 in Sheridan, Texas, in reference to a burglary. Deputy Chapa met with the complainant and obtained information to generate a report. Case active.
MAY 2
At approximately 5:41 p.m., Michael Frey was dispatched to the 1700 block of County Road 151, Columbus, Texas, in reference to a stolen firearm. After further investigation a report was generated and further investigation will follow. Case open pending further investigation.
MAY 3
At approximately 4:05 p.m., Wyatt Shoppe was dispatched to the I-10 west bound rest area in Columbus, Texas in reference to a disorderly conduct. A report was completed.
MAY 5
At approximately 5:38 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 109, Rock Island, Texas, for a reported overdose. A report was taken by Ryan Thomas, with the case under investigation.
At approximately 11:41 p.m., Robert Blair was dispatched to the 6701 US Hwy 90 (TA Travel Center) Sealy, Colorado County, Texas in reference to a theft. Case is active.
At approximately 6:59 p.m., Collin Byars was dispatched to the area of US Hwy 90 Alt and Lake Sheridan Road, in reference to an abandoned trailer blocking the roadway. Upon further investigation, the trailer had no visible vehicle identification number or license plate and was promptly removed from the roadway. Case cleared.
MAY 7
At approximately 11:23 a.m., Travis Leihardt was dispatched to the 300 block of Campt St. in Alleyton, Texas in reference to damaged property. Information was received and the case remains open.
At approximately 4:28 p.m., Wyatt Schoppe was dispatched to the Rock Island Volunteer Fire Department, located at 3358 County Road 106, Rock Island, Texas in reference to a vehicle fire. A report was completed for a vehicle fire.
At approximately 5:12 p.m., Wyatt Schoppe was dispatched to 3066 4th Street, Rock Island, Texas in reference to a follow up on a vehicle fire. Upon investigation, Deputy Schoppe learned the incident was in reference to a criminal trespass. A report was taken and criminal trespass warning issued.
At approximately 9:51 p.m., Zane Blaha was dispatched to Lyle Road, Eagle Lake, Texas in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation the driver was transported to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office to be screened by Texana.
MAY 8
At approximately 2:03 a.m., Zane Blaha conducted a traffic stop on 11th Street, Rock Island, Texas. After further investigation Brandon Beaulieu of Rock Island was arrested on a local felony warrant.
At approximately 4:14 a.m., Frankie Cantu was dispatched to the 100 block of Bernardo Road, Cat Spring, Texas, regarding a vehicle fire. No signs of foul play and case closed by report.
At approximately 7:26 p.m., Randy Mican was dispatched to the Colorado County Jail in reference to an assault that took place on May 8, 2025. It was reported two inmates were involved in an altercation. Both inmates did not want to file charges.
MAY 9
At approximately 8:21 a.m., Corrina Navarro conducted a traffic stop at Highway 71 and Foxwood Lane. After further investigation, Jonathon Scott Stilwell, age 25 of Pflugerville, Texas, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Harris County. Case cleared by adult arrest.
MAY 10
At approximately 12:26 a.m. Robert Blair was dispatched to 5703 West First St., Sheridan, Texas in reference to property damage. Case cleared due to issuance of citation.
At approximately 12:36 p.m., Benjamin Melendez conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 71 E near the intersection of Crossroad Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, Deputy Melendez discovered the passengers had an active order of protection against the operator. Daniel Villagas, 29 years old of El Paso, was taken into custody for Violation of Protection Order and transported to the Colorado County Jail without incident.
