TxDOT has announced several closures and changes in the vicinity of FM 102 this week and next weekend.
- On the night of Wednesday, July 23 at 11 pm, the FM 102 Bridge over I-10 will be closed. It will remain closed for 5 months for construction of the new bridge.
Northbound traffic wishing to cross over the bridge will take a detour along the EBFR to the new turnaround between FM 102 and FM 949, then back along the WBFR to FM 102.
Traffic wishing to go south across the bridge will detour along the WBFR to Alleyton Rd and then back along the EBFR to FM 102.
See the attached detour plan (traffic wishing to go north across the FM 102 bridge will follow the green arrows, and traffic wishing to go south across the FM 102 bridge will follow the purple arrows).
- On the night of Friday, July 25, the main lanes will be closed (both directions) and all traffic diverted to the frontage roads for demolition of the FM 102 bridge deck. The closure starts at 7:00pm and the main lanes will be reopened by 8 a.m. Saturday.
All WBML traffic will exit to FM 102, travel west along the frontage road and then re-enter the WBML’s after Alleyton Road.
All EBML traffic will exit to FM 102 and then re-enter the EBML’s on the entrance ramp after FM 102.
- On the night of Saturday, July 26, the main lanes will be closed (both directions) and all traffic will be diverted to the frontage roads to complete the demolition of FM 102 bridge. The closure starts at 10:00pm and the main lanes will be re-opened by 11:00am Sunday.
All WBML traffic will exit to FM 102, travel west along the frontage road and then re-enter the WBML’s after Alleyton Road .
All EBML traffic will exit to FM 102 and then re-enter the EBML’s on the entrance ramp after FM 102.
