RICE RAIDERS

RICE RAIDERS
KORDAE JOHNSON

The new video game College Football 26 was recently released, and it has a ton of new and exciting features within the game.

Recently the Citizen published an article talking about how the Raiders are an option for people to play as in the Road to Glory game mode.

The game mode allows players to download and import the Rice Raiders as a team for their high school career. Like real life the person playing the game has to make big time plays in high school, win games and navigate their college recruiting to ultimately chose where they will continue their career.

While it is exciting to see the Rice Raiders colors, logo and field featured in the new game it goes much deeper than that. The really exciting part comes when the person playing takes the field and sees that the kids currently on the Raiders are featured in the game.

For example, lining up as a running back for the Raiders in the game will allow the player to receive hand offs from Kordae Johnson while AJ Jenkins and Keundric Pratt set up blocks from their receiver position.

It is a great feature because it shines a spotl ight not only on the kids but on the school as well. Outside of the Citizen the Rice Raiders do not receive a whole lot of recognition but thanks to this feature in College Football 26 they are able to receive some recognition on a national level.

So, for those looking to catch some Rice Raider football action before the season starts check out College Football 26 and play as the Rice Raiders.
