Dr. Wilkinson is pleased to announce the continuation of her medical practice at a new location: 111 E. 2nd St, Hallettsville.
The renovation of the new clinic will be completed by Oct. 1, until then Dr. Wilkinson will be seeing patients at 40 East Ave, Schulenburg. The number to reach a member of the clinic staff to schedule an appointment in Schulenburg is 979-7433520.
Dr. Wilkinson will also be accepting new patients after Aug. 1, in Schulenburg and later at the Hallettsville location. Walkin appointments are also available in Schulenburg after Aug. 1.
Temporary office hours in Schulenburg are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Medical release forms will be available at the Schulenburg clinic and later at the Hallettsville clinic for those patients wanting to transfer their medical care to Dr. Wilkinson’s private practice.
This schedule allows Dr. Wilkinson to continue providing attentive care to her patients in the nursing home, home visits and those in the hospital.
Dr. Wilkinson and her dedicated healthcare team remain committed to providing the same “hometown” atmosphere her patients have relied on for 45 years.

Amanda Fillip, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Dr. Kocurek, providers and staff welcome Amanda Fillip, MSN, APRN, FNP-C as a new Family Nurse Practitioner to our clinic effective Monday Aug. 11. She has extensive practice skills from pediatric to geriatrics with er last seven years focusing on geriatric primary care services which include extensive care and responsibilities to patients in long term care facilities which includes nursing homes, assisted living communities and home bound patients.
Amanda’s advanced assessments skills and strong clinical judgement as a nurse practitioner include but not limited to trigger point injection, carpel tunnel injection and upper and lower extremity joint aspiration. She is experienced in cryosurgery, skin biopsies, suturing, wound care, IUD insertion and removal and multiple other procedures which complement total care and management of patients.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas. Her certifications include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, FNP-C, American Heart Association, BLS, DEA License, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association DOT certification and Suboxone Registration.

Ashley Kocurek, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Dr. Kocurek, clinic and staff are pleased to announce the addition of Family Nurse Practitioner Ashley Kocurek, FNP-C to the medical staff. She has been providing outstanding care in the clinic since November 2024. Ashley received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Texas-Arlington. Her diverse background in both nursing and education has made her a valuable asset to Schulenburg and the surrounding communities.
Ashley has known that nursing was her calling since she was seven years old. She first attended San Jacinto College in Houston where she completed the Licensed Vocational Nurse Program in 2012. She graduated at the top of her class and received the Spirit of Nursing award from her instructors. Ashley began her career as a field nurse with the Advanced Home Health Bastrop location, where she developed excellent rapport with her patients due to her outstanding bedside manner, reliability, honesty, and compassionate care. She then went on to work for Encompass Home Health in Bastrop where she was chosen to become the preceptor for newly hired nurses based on her positive attitude, work ethic, and health care knowledge.
Ashley was also selected to join the Encompass Community Cares program and would attend local community events to promote health and wellness. During her employment as a home health nurse, she attended advanced wound care courses and gained extensive experience providing health care to the older adult population.
In 2019, Ashley completed Victoria College’s LVN-RN nursing program, graduating with magna cum laude honors. She accepted a RN position with St. Mark’s Medical Center emergency department in Lagrange, where she obtained certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.
Throughout her time as an ER nurse Ashley acquired experience caring for patients of all ages with diverse medical emergencies such as trauma; orthopedic, obstetric, and mental health emergencies; strokes, and heart attacks.
In 2021, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with the University of Houston-Victoria, graduating with summa cum laude high honors. She decided to expand her nursing career by becoming a nurse educator. She accepted a position as a clinical instructor with the Blinn College-Brenham campus LVN program. Ashley enjoyed inspiring the students she taught with her passion of nursing.
In 2024, Ashley completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree with the University of Texas-Arlington. She is certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Ashley is dedicated to furthering her medical knowledge and is currently pursuing a certification in clinical herbalism. Her goal is to provide holistic, patient-centered care utilizing traditional Western medicine with the ability to offer a natural medicinal herbal approach to anyone interested.
