The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild has partnered with Connie Kortz and her quilt shop “My Fabric Friends” in Victoria. All around the state, quilters have rallied around this project, providing a warm quilt to our Hill Country/Guadalupe area friends. Twenty-two tops were picked up from “My Fabric Friends” last week needing quilting/binding. All the CVQG members met on Wednesday and pieced and assembled more Poppy Quilts as requested. In September, all the completed quilts will head to the Hill Country. The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St., Room A East, LaGrange. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. The meetings are always open to the public, so grab a friend and come learn more about this wonderful service organization right here in LaGrange.
