ROUND TOP – This August, two of Round Top’s beloved restaurants: Lulu’s and Mandito’s Tex-Mex, are teaming up with the Greater Fayette Community Foundation (GFCF) to launch the first-ever Round Top Restaurant Weeks, a new annual tradition designed to support local nonprofits and strengthen community well-being.
Round Top’s summer culinary scene just got even better! From Aug. 1 through Sept. 1, locals and visitors are invited to enjoy 32 days of special meals and fantastic offerings at Lulu’s and Mandito’s Tex-Mex.
Guests can indulge in unique 2- and 3-course prix fixe menus for brunch ($25), lunch ($25), or dinner ($25 or $55).
Best of all, every meal makes a difference, for every $25 meal purchased, restaurants will donate $3, and for every $55 meal purchased, they will donate $5 to support GFCF’s Community Impact Funds, which benefit grassroots organizations across Fayette County and beyond.
“We were thrilled to collaborate with Lulu’s and Mandito’s to bring this idea to life,” said Jamie Lee Manning, Senior Director of Community Impact at GFCF. “It’s a beautiful opportunity for folks to enjoy a great meal in Round Top while also giving back to the community. We hope this is just the beginning of an annual tradition that celebrates local food, local giving, and the unique spirit of our region.”
Inspired by the success of citywide efforts like Houston Restaurant Weeks, Round Top’s version will feature specially curated multi-course menus throughout the month, with a portion of proceeds directly supporting mental health, workforce development, rural health, and other local priorities through GFCF’s programmatic funds.
The inaugural Restaurant Weeks will serve as a soft launch with two participating restaurants, with hopes to expand to more local eateries and culinary partners in 2026 and beyond.
“We’ve seen the incredible energy and impact that restaurant weeks generate in Houston,” said co-organizer Cinda Murphy. “Now we’re bringing that same spirit to Round Top to uplift our small towns, support local nonprofits, and create something meaningful for our community and our staff.”
Menus will be available onsite and online starting Aug. 1.
