The search for youth artists is now open. The 2025 Youth Art Show and Contest sponsored by Keep Columbus Beautiful and Columbus Garden Club is seeking artists. The event will feature the first annual Poster Contest and Recycled Materials Art Show. Submissions are now open.
The event invites all student artists grades 1 – 8 to apply to the contest and exhibit at the Live Oak Art Center. Students are invited to create and showcase artwork featuring the Keep Columbus Beautiful message. Participants are eligible for $500 in awards. Entry deadline is Friday, Aug. 29.
Youth are invited to create posters (8 ½ x 11) featuring a Keep Columbus Beautiful message: Keep Columbus Beautiful; Please Don’t Litter; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; Keep Texas Beautiful; Don’t be a Litter Bug.
Youth are also invited to create Recycled Art (canvas or sculpture) utilizing recyclable materials in the Recycled Materials Sculpture Contest.
The exhibit will be showcased Sept. 10 – 19 in the Live Oak Art Center. The public is invited.
The Live Oak Art Center at 1014 Milam St., Columbus, is located in beautiful Historic Downtown Columbus.
