53 indictments returned here by grand jury
The Colorado County grand jury Tuesday returned 53 indictments, including nine in connection with the Loessin Implement Co. Burglaries.
Among the indictments returned in the Loessin case was one naming a Houston private investigative firm, Smith Protective Services, Inc.
Police report 2 accidents on city’s streets Columbus police investigated two traffic accidents during the past week.
Jenaro Lee Rios of Columbus was the driver of a car that collided with another car on Prairie and Dewees Monday.

Gerald Bell wounded in South Korea Word has been received here that Marine Sgt. Gerald Bell, a Columbus High School graduate and a tackle on the 1957 football team has been wounded in the fighting in South Korea.
District court Fall term to be opened Monday Judge Lester Holt is schedule to open th fall term of district court here Monday at 10 a.m. and swear int he 12-man grand jury from 16 veniremen notified to be present at that time.
