The annual Colorado County Fair is just around the corner on Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 11-13. Explore the rodeo, food, arts and entertainment in support of local youth and county community. Tickets and season passes will be available for purchase at the gate. Passes can also be purchased from Queen Pageant contestants before the fair.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
The Colorado County Sheriff’s Office will have six officers on duty in the fairgrounds to ensure visitors’ safety and security. According to Chief Deputy Kevin Daniel, the sheriff’s office will coordinate with local, patrolling Coumbus Police Department officers if needed.
“Be observant of what’s going on around you. If you see something that you think is unsafe, report it to the law enforcement that’s there,” Daniel said. “Abide by the traffic laws and patterns and be patient.”
Make sure to stay hydrated as temperatures are forecasted in the low 90s. Thursday should see cloudy skies, but Friday and Saturday should have bright, full sun.
