There has been some talk about the Rice Lady Raiders volleyball team and the success they have had so far in 2025. It is exciting to see the product on the court in Altair but there is a former Lady Raider who is carving out her career at the college level. Abigail Hoelscher was a hug part of the Lady Raiders volleyball team so to see her leave was bitter-sweet. As a freshman at Milsaps college though Hoelscher has not seen the floor a ton in 2025 but, when she has, she made the most of it. In two sets played so far this season Hoelscher racked up five kills and two digs which helped her team pick up a win against Tougaloo. Hoelscher will continue to look for opportunities this season as Milsaps gears up for an upcoming tournament.
