SAS SAINTLY NEWS
The SAS Junior High Team placed first in the Academic Rodeo at the Fair last week. From L to R, teacher Vickie Glynn, Mitchell Smith, Carson Crosby, Abigail Wolters, Raelynn Schulte, Emma Fitgerald and Garwood Lions Club representative Tom Kallina.

SAS welcomed its first Watch Dog of the year last week as Zach Anderson volunteered in classrooms, participated in PE, had cafeteria duty, and helped in the car line. Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of great students) provide positive male role models, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. They also provide extra sets of eyes and ears, enhancing school security, reducing bullying and providing a greater sense of campus safety.

SAS kiddos were ready for the school holiday last Friday due to the Colorado County Fair.

Saints participated in many of the different activities offered at the fairgrounds, including art exhibits and livestock showing. Last Thursday, SAS 1st and 2nd graders attended “Kids Day at the Fair”, browsing exhibits and visiting the animals. A handful of Saints got to participate in the Exceptional Rodeo, while Saint Ambassadors volunteering at the rodeo, cheered them on. Five Junior High students represented SAS in the fair’s Academic Rodeo, winning first place.

Upcoming events: SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15 a.m.
